The Locomotives of Martindale Creek

Martindale Creek's locomotives are in three groups; 1975 to 1985, 1995 to the present day and locomotives that operated from the late 1970's till the present day.

Most of the locomotives on Martindale Creek are ready to run models, built from kits or modified to produce a specific model. Where required the models have been repainted and decaled. Most of the models are weathered to represent the care and attention the prototype railroads lavish on their locomotives.

I have one hard and fast rule on Martindale Creek. Every locomotive has to have it's own number.

1975 to 1985

The early Conrail era is represented by a mixture of models of locomotives inherited from the New York Central and Pennsylania railroads. In addition to Conrail locomotives are locomotives from the railroads Conrail power pooled with.

1995 to the Present Day

The current period roster reflects the mega railroad mergers, power pooling and todays high power locomotives. The mega merger era is represented by; Conrails Quality Conrail era and the CSX / NS partion of Conrail. Power pooling is represented by the presence of some post UP / SP merger locomotives. The high power locomotives are represented by GE C40-8 and C40-8Ws.
